FAQs / Terms and conditions

How does it work?

To request a subscription, box set or trial subscription, just click on the 'Buy’ or ‘Try' options at the top of any page.  Add the items you wish to purchase to your basket.  When checking out, you will be asked to provide your own contact details, plus the details of where you would like each of your purchases to be posted to.  Alternatively, you can email subscriptions@littlelettercompany.co.uk, or call us on 0780 3940196

What age range are Little Letter packs suitable for?

Little Letters Crafts are designed for children aged 3-8 years and all children of any age should be supervised at all times when using Little Letter crafts. Our subscriptions packs are aimed at children aged 3-5 and our box sets are from 3-8, however this is only a guide as every child is different. Our packs are not recommended for children under 36 months, due to the potential hazards associated with the small component parts. We cannot accept liability for use by children under 36 months.

Why choose Little Letters Crafts?

Our crafts are varied each week; some are lovingly created and assembled by the Little Letter Bird, some are sourced from America and others from UK suppliers. We also try to vary the craft materials used.

When will the pack(s) be posted?

If you have purchased a subscription package, the first pack will be posted on the fortnightly posting day (Friday) following your order, and fortnightly thereafter for the remainder of the subscription. Little Letter Box sets are dispatched within three working days. If for any reason your Little Letter package does not arrive, within 10 working days from posting date, please inform us. We are unable to replace packages if we are not told within this time. All packs will be delivered by Royal Mail 2nd Class post.

Can I choose which crafts my child receives?

Although parents are not able to choose the craft each week, we do make provision for preferences relating to certain types of crafts, mainly those involving cultural/faith based celebrations.  We request that parents email us to detail any objections they may have to crafts of this nature.

What do I do if I go on holiday?

We are very sorry but we are unable to suspend Little Letter subscriptions.  However Little Letter bird goes on holiday during August and so will be making 1 delivery at the beginning of the month with all 4 crafts in, for your child to enjoy at any time.

Can I order Little Letters to be posted worldwide?

Unfortunately, Little Letters can only be posted to UK postal addresses.

How can I pay?

Our preferred payment method is via direct credit payment using your on-line baking service.  Payment by Paypal is also accepted.  Payment by cheque can be posted to us directly.  Payment options will be presented to you upon submission of your order.  Please note that 50p administration charge is placed on cheque orders under £25.  Please contact us via our Feedback form, or telephone us direct on 07803940196 if you wish to pay by cash or cheque.

I don't want to subscribe; can I buy individual crafts?

Why not try our  Trial Subscription or our Mini Box sets of 4 craft kits, see Try/Buy page for pricing details. Alternatively, subject to availability, existing customers can purchase additional back issues of crafts they have already received.  These are supplied at the standard issue price of £2.50 per craft. We regret that we do not sell individual back issues to customers who are not subscribed to our service.  Please email your requirements to us at contact@littlelettercompany.co.uk and we will do our very best to accommodate your request if possible.

Are sibling discounts available?

Unfortunately, not.  We're not being mean - it comes down to postal charges!  Each package containing crafts is designed to fit within size/weight tolerances that enable us to remain within the 'Large Letter' postal charges. However, we are able to offer to post two of the same craft each fortnight, of your subscription for a sibling. Please note, that for a 2 month subscription you will receive 8 crafts (2 each of 4 designs) selected to fit within our large letter packaging. Please email  contact@littlelettercompany.co.uk

Is there anything else I should know?

Yes!  Please note that The Little Letter Company reserves the right to substitute a craft without notice if necessary.  Substitutions will be of a comparable cost and quality.  Please also note that Little Letters cannot be held responsible for packs that do not arrive on time due to factors beyond our control (e.g. postal strikes or delivery delays).

Little Letters crafts operate on a one-year cycle.  No repeat crafts are posted within that calendar year.   Little Letters subscriptions cannot be transferred.

"I would like to say, I took up Little Letters recently for my two children who love crafty stuff. I wondered what we would get in the post, but blow me away!, Every 2 weeks my kiddies got a fantastic arty project which only takes about 20mins to complete. And what they have produced is fantastic! We love awaiting for the next envelope! I have now signed up for more treats in the post! Happy Mum"

"My son loves his tissue paper kite craft so much that it has been stuck on our conservatory window for months now!  Despite becoming faded and almost peeling away at the sides, if we even suggest taking it down he demands that it stays!"
